Private Notary in Dubai 24/7

In-house, in person, online and home visit notary public services in Dubai. We draft your document in Arabic and English, verify your identity, and complete the notarisation at our Business Bay office, at your location, or online through UAE PASS.

1 / 5

Who is the document for?

We notarise documents for individuals and for companies. The requirements differ, so this is the first thing we need to know.

What needs notarising?

If it is not on this list, choose the closest one and tell us in the last step.

How would you like it done?

Not every document can be notarised remotely. We will tell you plainly if yours cannot.

When do you need it?

An honest answer here helps. We will tell you if a deadline is not achievable rather than after you have booked.

Where should we send the answer?

You will get the instrument you need, what to bring, and the government fee. No charge for that.

No charge for the conversation. Please do not send identity documents here.

What a private notary in Dubai actually does

A private notary in Dubai is a legal professional registered with Dubai Courts to carry out notary public functions assigned by the Courts, working through a firm the Courts have authorized. Before handling your document, the private notary checks your identity, confirms you understand what you are signing, and confirms you agree to it. They then attest your signature, register the document, or validate its date under an official seal.

A document processed by a private notary has the same legal weight as one processed by a government notary public. Common notary services include affidavits sworn under oath, signature attestation on contracts and declarations, and wills made by non-Muslims. Where Dubai Courts rules allow, the work can be done through digital processes without you appearing in person.

A private notary is a lawyer licensed by Dubai Courts to perform notarial acts. The authority is identical to the public notary at a government service center. What differs is access, and how much of the work is done for you.

We handle the whole matter rather than one step of it: preparing the bilingual draft, reviewing it with you before signature, verifying identity, and issuing the document through the Dubai Courts E-Notary system with its verification barcode. You deal with one office instead of arranging drafting, translation and notarisation separately.

The drafting is the service

Anyone can witness a signature. The value is in the wording that comes before it.

On a power of attorney, the scope of authority you grant is the part that matters most and the part most often got wrong. Too narrow and your agent cannot finish the task. Too broad and you have handed over more than you meant to. We read the document with you before you sign it.

How it works

1. Tell us the task

Describe the outcome, not the document name. “My brother needs to sell my apartment while I am abroad and receive the money” tells us more than “I need a power of attorney”, and it produces a different and safer instrument.

  • Call, WhatsApp, or send the document
  • No charge for this conversation

Time Two minutes

2. We identify the instrument

People routinely ask for a general power of attorney when a special one is safer, or an affidavit when an acknowledgement is what the receiving party will accept. Getting this right is what stops you paying twice.

  • We name the exact document you need
  • We say plainly if it is not notarial work

Time Same conversation

3. You get the requirements in writing

A list specific to your matter, not a generic one. This is the step that makes a single appointment enough, and it is where most wasted trips are prevented.

  • What to bring, item by item
  • Who has to attend and who does not

Time Same day

4. You get the cost, split

The government fee, which is prescribed and public, and our professional fee, which is ours. Separately, in writing, before any work starts. If anyone quotes you one number with no breakdown, ask why.

  • Government fee from the published schedule
  • Our fee agreed before we begin

Time Before work starts

5. We draft and translate

Documents notarised in Dubai must be bilingual. We prepare the Arabic and English here rather than sending it out, because a translation by someone who has never handled a notarial instrument is what gets returned at the counter.

  • Dubai Courts approved form of words
  • Arabic and English prepared in house

Time Depends on the document

6. We read it with you

Clause by clause where it matters. This is the point at which people most often say “I did not mean that much”, and it is far cheaper to catch here than after registration.

  • Nothing is signed unread
  • Changes at this stage cost nothing

Time Before signature

7. Identity is verified and you sign

Original Emirates ID and passport in person, or through UAE PASS remotely. There is no third route, and any service offering one is not performing a notarial act.

  • At the notary’s office, at your location, or by video call
  • Originals only, never copies

Time The appointment itself

8. Dubai Courts issues the document

Registered in the Dubai Courts system and released electronically with a verification barcode that anyone receiving it can check. Delivered to you by secure link.

  • Barcode verified against Dubai Courts
  • Same effect as a public notary counter

Public notary or private notary

Notary public services in Dubai are provided by notaries authorised by Dubai Courts. A notary verifies your identity and confirms you understand and agree to the document. They then attest your signature, register the document or validate its date under an official seal. A document notarized this way is an official document in law.

Both are fully authorized, and the fees for the notarial act itself are set by the same authority either way. What differs is access and how much of the work is done for you.

Government fees

Private notary fees in Dubai are set by Dubai Courts under Decision No. 312 of 2025, published in the Official Gazette of the Government of Dubai, Issue No. 752, in force from 2 January 2026. These are not prices we choose, and they are the same wherever the document is notarised.

ItemFee
Electronic registrationAED 100 per party
Signature verificationAED 100 per signature
Notary attending outside the officeAED 1,000

A power of attorney signed by one person in our office carries AED 100 for registration and AED 100 for the signature.

Documents with a stated value

Where a document states a value, the fee is calculated from that value rather than charged flat. These figures come from the federal schedule, Cabinet Resolution No. 19 of 2024.

Value of the instrumentFee
Under AED 50,000AED 200 per signature
AED 50,000 to AED 100,000AED 300 per signature
Above AED 100,000, execution0.5 percent, up to AED 15,000
Above AED 100,000, notarisation0.5 percent, up to AED 30,000
No value statedAED 200 per party

Note the two ceilings. Most guides in this market quote only the AED 15,000 figure, which is the wrong number for a notarisation. Full breakdown on our fees page.

You will know the price before you commit

Send us the document, or describe what you need drafted, and we will tell you the government fee and our fee in writing before any work starts. There is no charge for that, and no obligation.

Why clients choose this practice

Most notary websites in Dubai will not tell you who will sign your document, and will not tell you the fee until you call. We publish both.

An in-house notary public. Our notary public sees clients at our Business Bay office, online and on home visits, and every document is registered with Dubai Courts with a verification barcode anyone can check.

Fees published with their source. Every figure here cites the instrument, the gazette issue and the date it was last checked, so you can verify it yourself rather than take our word for it.

No promises we cannot keep. We will not quote a fixed turnaround, because the courts system, UAE PASS and any counterparty all affect it. We will tell you honestly what to expect for your document.

The drafting is the service. On a power of attorney the scope of authority is the part that matters most, and the part most often got wrong. We read it with you before you sign.

Powers of attorney

General power of attorney

Broad authority to act on your behalf. Convenient, and the type where granting more than you intended is the common mistake.

Special power of attorney

Limited to a named task, such as one property sale or one court matter. Usually the safer choice.

Property power of attorney

For buying, selling, leasing or managing real estate, including Dubai Land Department transactions. Needs the title deed or contract reference.

Corporate power of attorney

For a company to authorise a representative. Needs the trade licence, the memorandum, and evidence the signatory can sign.

Power of attorney for cases

Authorising legal representation in proceedings. The wording has to match what the court expects.

Vehicles, travel and heirs

Powers of attorney for vehicles, for driving and travelling, and for determination of heirs.

Corporate and company work

From a memorandum of association for a new mainland entity with full foreign ownership, through to a real estate power of attorney for a Dubai Land Department transaction.

We handle board resolutions, share transfers, minutes, legal notices and constitutional amendments, for mainland and free zone companies alike. Bring the trade licence, the memorandum, and evidence that the signatory is authorised to sign.

UAE PASS and the E-Notary system

Notarisation in Dubai runs through the official E-Notary system, whether the notary sits at a government service centre or in private practice. The document is issued electronically with a verification barcode, so anyone receiving it confirms it by scanning the code rather than by trusting a stamp.

For remote notarisation you sign using UAE PASS. Your account needs IAL3 verification, the biometric and face scan step, completed on your own device, because the notary must be satisfied you are who you say you are without meeting you.

A passport and identity documents laid on a surface

Every document, in Arabic and English

Documents notarised in Dubai must be bilingual. An English only document needs legal translation before it can be notarised, and a translation that is wrong in Arabic is a problem you discover at the counter rather than at your desk.

We prepare Dubai Courts approved drafts in both languages as part of the service, so you are not arranging translation separately and not relying on a translator who has never handled a notarial document. Notarising a translation included in an instrument is charged at AED 50 per page.

How long it takes, honestly

Most straightforward documents are completed the same day. Some are done within the hour. We will not print a fixed number on this page, because the turnaround is not entirely ours to control: the courts system, the UAE PASS platform, the completeness of what you send, and the availability of any other party who has to sign all affect it.

What we will do is tell you what to expect for your specific document before you commit, and tell you promptly if anything changes. A number on a website that nobody can honour is worth less than a straight answer on the phone.

Frequently asked questions

Tap a question to open the answer.

Do I need to be in Dubai to notarise a document?

Not for most documents. With a valid Emirates ID and an active UAE PASS account at IAL3 verification, you can sign remotely by secure video call through the official E-Notary portal.

If your UAE PASS is not active or your Emirates ID has expired, contact us. There are situations where a document can still be handled on your passport, and we will tell you plainly whether yours is one of them.

Are digitally notarised documents accepted by banks?

UAE banks generally accept them. Each notarised document carries a verification barcode the bank can scan to confirm it is genuine. If your matter is time critical, confirm the format with your own bank first, because individual institutions can have their own requirements.

What does a notarised power of attorney cost?

The fee for executing or notarising a general or special power of attorney is AED 100 per party. Electronic registration is AED 100 per party and signature verification is AED 100 per signature. Our fee for drafting and translation is quoted separately, before you commit.

Is there a maximum notary fee?

Yes, on documents stating a value above AED 100,000, where the fee is 0.5 percent of the value. Execution is capped at AED 15,000 per instrument and notarisation at AED 30,000 per instrument. Below that threshold the fees are flat amounts per signature or per party.

Does my document have to be in Arabic?

Documents notarised in Dubai must be bilingual, Arabic and English. An English only document needs legal translation first. We prepare the bilingual draft as part of the service.

What do I need to bring?

Your original Emirates ID and your original passport. Copies are not sufficient for identity verification, and a certified true copy cannot be produced from a copy. If you are granting authority to someone, bring a copy of their passport as well.

Can a mistake in a notarised document be corrected?

Yes. An application to correct incorrect data in an instrument is AED 300 on the federal schedule. Bring the document and your original identification.

How do I get another copy of a document you notarised?

Apply for a copy of a paper from the instrument, charged at AED 5 per page, or for a certificate from the notary’s registers at AED 300. Contact us and we will tell you which one you need.

Do you handle documents for use outside the UAE?

Yes. Tell us the destination country before we draft, because the wording and any additional steps after notarisation depend on where the document is going.

Can a company authorise someone through you?

Yes. Corporate powers of attorney, board resolutions and share transfers are routine work here. Bring the trade licence, the memorandum of association, and evidence that the signatory is authorised to sign for the company.
